I will be travelling to Singapore and Thailand. For this I look to have a credit card which I can use to book airline tickets, Book Hotels, Get Free Lounge access, use to pay over there in foreign currency with low forex mark up charges.
If you plan to book travel tickets via portals like Yatra, MMT or EaseMyTrip, you can opt for cards co-branded with these platforms. For example, with the Yatra SBI Card, you can save up to Rs. 4,000 on international flight bookings and with the Standard Chartered EaseMyTrip Credit Card, you can save up to Rs. 5,000 on international flights and up to Rs. 10,000 on international hotels. If you travel several times in a year, you can consider getting airline cards like Axis Vistara.
The right travel card would be the one that aligns with your preferences. Most travel credit cards come with a limited number of free lounge visits; however, low forex markup may not be available with all cards. Hence, you must check the features and benefits before applying.
